Re: Megiddo
Lara looks at everyone in the group and then turns red. "....Well he is..."
Jekin crosses his arms. "Alright "Kadino". I have a proposition for you. If you help us stop Gale, we'll help you find your friend." |
Re: Megiddo
Sorry Kadino, didn't mean to set you off. I'm sure you're very deadly. So what say you agree to the man's terms and join us?
|
Re: Megiddo
If you truly wish to get yourselves involved, you may. I do not wish to allow any of my friends to be harmed, so do not kill him unless I explicitly say to.
And as I cannot bear harm to those I love, do not take offense if I do not accept any "gestures" you may make. It is not personal against you, and it will not become so for you. |
Re: Megiddo
"Oh come on now, how much help can a moogle offer?" One walks a little but further down the tunnel.
|
Re: Megiddo
Jekin looks back. "That means don't try to pet the Moogle, Lara." Lara mouths some very bad curse words to her brother and continues on. "We accept your terms, now we must hurry into the shrine..." Jekin looks at One. "We need all the help we can get here. You know well what we're up against."
|
Re: Megiddo
Ayn grows anxious, wanting to get through this tunnel. She fidgets slightly, nearly dropping the orb of energy she was carrying. She sighs, then turns, watching One walk further. Upon hearing Jekin, however, she immediately sets off down the tunnel, past the gate. She makes sure, however, not to pass One or stray off alone.
|
Re: Megiddo
One ignores Jekin and continues on, he hears footsteps behind him but doesn't turn back. After a few minutes he makes it to the end of the passage and bumps into large marble. . . "Shrine. . . " The room was large, and it had to be to hold the circular shrine in the middle of the room. A bridge connected the entrance to the shrine, and on the outside of it was a chasm that fell into the unknown. He turns around to see who was following him.
|
Re: Megiddo
Ayn nearly crashes into One. "What's the big i.." She stares blankly at the large shrine, soaking in its strange beauty for a minute. After a while she starts, her eyes widening in shock. "****.." She points past One, her eyes fixed on something behind him. "We found Angsty pants.."
|
Re: Megiddo
*Fades around the edges of the group's perception*
I will shadow you for a while, and make sure there are none persuing. |
Re: Megiddo
Ah.. so this is it? Well it at least LOOKS intact..
|
Re: Megiddo
A man in silver knight armor battled the infamous warlock. Heavenly symbols were etched into his sword, shield and armor. However, he appeared to be losing. There was blood running down his forhead and staining his back hair. Perspertation was also clear on his face. He scowls at the sight of the group. "More tomb raiders? I don't have time for you!" The man spins past Gale and hits a lever. Angelic symbols in the shrine light up, and the room begins to shake. However, the knight is sent into a smaller chamber in the back of the shrine, the room he was suppose to be protecting. Gale follows him in and a stone door begins to close behind him.
Jekin curses and turns to Lara and One. "We have to stop him." The twins jump in the air and fly across the room, sliding through the door as it's about to seal. ((Only one gets to go through, you guys get something else to do :P)) |
Re: Megiddo
After the volcano Leon did not follow the group for he thought he would be quicker to finding the key on his own. He set off and went through some places to find the area of the shrine which held the key of Hades. By the time he got there he finds tire tracks leading up to the farm which under is the shrine."Dammit it looks like I was to slow in my pace and failed to beat them hear". Hopefully they didn't already get the key".
|
Re: Megiddo
One flies through the door and it closes right behind him. "****, we coulda used the help!" He looks forward to Gale. "Three against one, I like this." He sounded more confident than he really was.
|
Re: Megiddo
((I apologize for some un-originality here. This is something that I didn't think to much of. I'm sorry ><))
The rumble continues and rocks start to fall on the shrine floor. Suddenly a giant, crimson serpent that seems incrediably old sticks it head out from the ceiling. It spies the group that was left behind, and lets out a loud hiss. __ Gale sees his former allies. He was annoyed, he had just thrwarted his last foe who lays unconscious on the ground near the pedestal that held a baseball sized, uneven stone that had a crimson core. "Stand down, or face death." |
Re: Megiddo
Smiles up at the serpent.
You're not half as scary as Gale. He fires five shots in quick succession at the giant snake. The serpent writhes and reeves, slyly dodging each shot. Unless, ya know.. you're Lucifer himself. |
Re: Megiddo
Ayn had been cursing loudly for not being able to get through the door, but whirls around at the sound of the hiss. "Aww, ****. Does this madness ever end?"
Of course not. She knew the little voice that was her subconscious was right. There was always something to create some sort of chaos. She sure was damn good at finding it, whether it was intentional or not. |
Re: Megiddo
((It's up to you guys to beat the snake, another thing I didn't think to much of was having all my characters fighting Gale. Again, my apologies.))
The serpent slithers down further, landing on the platform and taking up a good junk of it. It hisses again and snaps at Wessen, showing it's huge twin fangs. __ Lara laughs. "There's no way you can fight all of us." She draws her chain-sickle. She knew guns at this range wouldn't work on Gale. Jekin draw a battle axe and took a stance. "It ends here, Gale. Before you cause undoable damage." Gale takes a stance with Sin. "Then you shall die." |
Re: Megiddo
One doesn't say anything, he just pulls out his staff and gets in fighting position.
|
Re: Megiddo
But you're not lucifer, are you? No, you're just a brute.
Slade opens fire again, this time scoring a couple of hits in the serpent's neck.. or belly.. or whatever that particular part of the snake was. But it is to little avail and the snake's performance seems unhindered by the bullets. Oookay, I think all I did was piss him off. The crimson serpent slithers further out of its gigantic hole, causing more rubble to fall. The warriors below dodge the crumbling stone while trying to get tactical positions around the enemy. Wessen takes a more direct approach. He reaches inside his jacket and pulls out a good old fashioned grenade. Let's see if I can't piss him off some more. He ups the power on his weapon and takes many many shots at the serpent's head. The power is so high on the bullets that they gleam brightly with red light as they soar toward their target. Though most of the shots miss, two of them strike their mark on the bottom jaw of the enormous snake. Atta boy.. The snake looks directly at Wes and hisses, tasting him through the air. As Wes counted on, the snake's head lunges at him right as he is pulling the pin on his grenade. But suddenly Slade is stricken from behind with an extremely powerful force... the Snake's tail, which had emerged from another hole in the shrine room's wall. Slade is thrown foreward and he drops both his gun and his grenade. The vile serpant's fang, about the size of a very large sword, pierces through Wessen's leg, sending venom into him as it passes through. Just then the grenade explodes. Though it can do little damage from the outside of the snake's body, it does cause the snake to recoil in pain and consequently withdraw its fang from Wessen's leg. The venom, though perhaps not enough to kill him as the fang went all the way through him instead of sticking in to inject a full dose, still causes him to lay still on the ground, almost completely paralized. Little help..? ((This'll be my last post of the evening, methinks. Don't let me die, folks. :P )) |
Re: Megiddo
She darts in front of Wes, sword drawn. It crackles with purple energy, and she glares up at the foul beast. After a few minutes her entire body seems to be giving off a dark purple light.
|
Re: Megiddo
Leon jumps up from an opening in the chamber and lands onto the snakes back and unsheathes Carnage. He then raises Carnage and with great strengh stabs the serpent in the back of the neck. This affected him a little but not much. The serpent then slingshots Leon across the room into a wall. He sits for a minute and slowly rises to his feet with the help of his sword. "Alright you retched snake its time for round two!" Leon raises his sword ready to strike again.
|
Re: Megiddo
The serpent was about to strike Ayn, who was between its meal but was distracted by Leon. It shook violently in dismay before knocking him away, giving Ayn even more time to charge.
__ Lara makes the first move on Gale and throws her sickle at him. Unfortunately, Gale anticipated it and placed his gloved hand forward. The sickles missed and the chain wraps around his arm. He tugs it away, and uses it as Lara had intended. In a flick of the wrist it's wrapped around her throat, and in another she's brought to the ground in a choked scream of plain. Instinctively, Jekin slashed with his axe to defend his sister, but Gale once agian was too fast, and Jekin only managed to free Gale of the sickle, breaking her precious weapon. Gale laughed loudly. "You're as slow as she is." |
Re: Megiddo
Ayn bears a malicious smirk. "How unfortunate for you.." The energy leaves her in one fluid motion, branching out into a tree of energy. It envelopes itself around the snake, crackling loudly.
This buys just enough time for Ayn to drag Wes out of the way into a small nook in the side of the wall. "Hang on.." She turns to face the serpent again. |
Re: Megiddo
Leon charges at the snake to go for a death blow but is reflected and pushed back because of Ayn's energy field."Well if I can't strike it I might as well add to Ayn's energy so she can use it against the serpent."In one swift movement Leon charges a ball of energy and sends it into Ayn's energy so that it can affect the serpent more efficiently.
|
Re: Megiddo
One sees Lara go down. He couldn't move, in truth he was scared stiff. He trained for this?? To not do anything? He tried again, he moved his staff forward and shot at blast near Gale's feet to knock him off balance.
|
Re: Megiddo
The serpent wretches in pain at the force of the combined blast. It hisses loudly and sets it sights on Ayn. It's tail comes from the side again, trying to blindside Ayn.
__ Gale is caught off guard and thrown to the floor. Jekin tries to strike again, and Gale blocks with Sin. He manages to roll out of the way, and slashes Jekin across his back. Jekin howls in pain and jumps back. He squints in pain and tries to regain his composure. "We can beat him together, One..." Gale snickered. "Sure you will." |
Re: Megiddo
Ayn was ready to meet the serpent with a blast of ice. Whatever its weakness was, she'd have to find it fast or she'd suffer a similar fate as Wes. She holds out one palm, gripping the wrist with her other hand, and sends the blast directly at the serpent's face.
|
Re: Megiddo
The serpent recoils. This one was not like its past prey. It was stronger. Therefore, it would have to change tactics. The serpent spits venom at Ayn, though it is unsure how it will affect her.
|
Re: Megiddo
*Rushing to the sounds of fighting, Kadino wonders why he simply didn't just leave them*
I saved them, two hellcats and their flame dwarf master. They would have been caught completely unaware, and in the heat of their own battle. What do I think I owe them? Why would I come back? They Deserve Nothing! They Deserve Your Best. |
Re: Megiddo
Ayn's eyes widen and she dives out of the way of most of the venom. Sprays of it slap across her back, leaving holes in her clothing. The venom seeps in her skin, and there's a slight hissing sound as its acids burn her flesh.
She screams. |
Re: Megiddo
*Kadino shakes a dagger of soft moonglow hue at the ground, and then once at Ayn... transmuting the degrading qualities of the venom to the restorative properties of a soothing and mind-focusing salve*
I might as well do something, though I do not know if it is more cowardly to save them from Death or to leave them to his seductive grip |
Re: Megiddo
The Serpent is please that its tactic worked and wraps itself around Ayn despite Kadino's apperance, attempting to sufficate her. It eyes the moogle suspiciously, but does not strike.
|
Re: Megiddo
*Kadino looks dejectedly at the snake, not sure wether to care about it*
Come on, you can do it... just move, I know you can. Don't make me do this for you, I have to save my energies. |
Re: Megiddo
Ayn coughs slightly as the snake closes up her air intake even further, but she's not about to give up. She still has a hold of her sword, and with it she forces it into the serpent's flesh. Electricty erupts from her fingertips, using the sword as a sort of lightning rod.
It was a dangerous move, as she had a high risk of getting electrocuted herself. She lets go of the sword for a split second to let the electricity run through it, and not her. |
Re: Megiddo
The serpent thrashed in pain and released Ayn. It retreated slightly, bringing Ayn's sword with it. Now it was angry. Not only had this creature kept his prey from him, but it was also so persistent to continue to attack them and survive all of his attacks. The serpent thrashes his tail about, striking the walls violently in search of a target.
|
Re: Megiddo
Ayn stumbles slightly at the shaking of the earth beneath her, but doesn't lose her balance. She frowns slightly, wondering how she's going to get her sword back.
|
Re: Megiddo
*Kadino starts to go into a trance, meditating about what needs to be done*
I do not know how long it will take me to help these people... and with every day and every kill my lupine friend loses that much more of a chance of soul redemption! Why can I never decide! Why do you always force me to do exactly what I don't want to do? Or is it I who simply pushes myself; one of the three of us must have control at all times, the only way is to fight and control them as best I can. *Kadino releases a tiny blast of air, and the snake is immarbled. The sword shatters, and falls to the ground in pieces* you only have two choices here beast *the sword reforges with the lifeforce of the snake, using the power of the magical beast's soul to channel a warrior spirit into the newly forged weapon, simply waiting to be wielded* |
Re: Megiddo
Ayn whirls around to glance at Kadino, and stares at the sword. "I see.." She bends over, picking up the new sword, and immediately senses the flow of life through it. She grins, liking this new toy, and looks up at the serpent.
|
Re: Megiddo
*With a much smaller sigh, Kadino opens his eyes a little. Satisfied with his work, he drifts to sleep... and floats through the air on dream-inspired moogle-wings*
|
Re: Megiddo
((*hums MK theme* That was a good one, Kad. even if it was in another topic o-o))
The serpent was definately not prepared for Moogle magic such as this and normally would have no way of escaping it's petrified state. However, despite it's evil look, he was under the command of the knight, the holy guardian of the key. Heavenly symbols etched out in the snake's new stone body, and the mouth and other parts recived new movement. Thus the snake was transformed from flesh to stone. It's venom was now lost, but strength increased three fold. It was hard to say if the beast had become stronger or actually grown weaker, but it was alive again and it remember Ayn had struck him. With a bit of effort, the serpent strikes with his tail in an attempt to crush Ayn. ((Onyx go!! )) |
